The wind was from the west in the morning and picked up and turned northwest as the front came through. We did not get any rain. We were kind of hoping for a boat rinse.
Great news. We ran the engine and there was no sign of leaking. We seem to have a really solid temporary fix. David got word that our new exhaust hose was put on the mailboat.
We did some boat cleaning down below and cleaned the cockpit. The wind picked up and we had a quiet day on the boat. We read and spoke with Jer who was following the winter storm closely at home. Quite a storm affecting all of us.
We did crosswords and played all the levels of pips. And then, we had time to pull out the lego plants that John had given us. We built 3 of the plants. It was great fun for a quiet day.
The wind is supposed to blow all night and drop down sometime tomorrow. The boat race around the island is tomorrow so we are hoping to get off the boat to watch.
