It is a beautiful calm day. We had planned to join a beach clean up this morning and then go to town for the annual cruisers softball game. There are two teams that play one another and then play a local youth team. We planned to watch and support the concession stand that supports the local ballpark.
David rowed and I took the paddle board to Sand Dollar beach. It was a long paddle but very calm and I crossed over several starfish.
The trash pickup met on Sand Dollar Beach and then hiked a trail to the ocean side. About 10 families joined as well as a local man who works for the Bahamas National Trust, Bradley. He was very nice and identified plants for us on the way over. It was beautiful on the ocean side and we swam several times to keep cool. We each picked up a bag of trash, mostly small pieces of plastic and plastic bags.

The wind picked up while we were picking up trash and it was a long paddle back against the wind but we made it. We took the dinghy over to town and walked to the ball field. The game between the two cruiser teams was actually a good close game. There were some amazing catches. The outfield looked very bumpy with patches of deep sand but no one got hurt.

We stayed for two innings of the next game. The Bahamian youth did not have a full team so a few of the mothers were filling in. The kids looked pretty good. The ball park hot dog was excellent.

On the way back, we loaded up with water and had an easy crossing. It was a very active day. A cold front is coming so likely we will be on the boat tomorrow so it is good we wore ourselves out.
