Arrivals

It was a big arrival day with the mailboat expected in the morning and family arriving around 2 pm. We saw the mailboat arrivein so we got ready and headed across. It was still a little windy. We tied up at the dinghy dock and walked to the government dock where they were unloading the boats.

The mailboat office is a small building painted blue and yellow, the same as the mailboat. People were in line. Some were mailing things out, some were expecting packages. David waited and they had his name on a list and gave him a receipt. They told us to come back at 2 pm as it would take them that long to unload everything.

We went and bought bread and went to the farmers market and bought some bananas. We had some coffee at Sandpiper and visited Top to Bottom and the straw market. We filled water jugs but waited on groceries. They were restocking. We watched a truck back in to the small space.

The group landed right on time just before 130. By 2, they were on their way from the airport in a taxi. I went to Sandpiper and waited for them while David went back to the government dock to check on the hose.

Great success, the kids arrived and David returned with a long package wrapped in red plastic. We had a nice late lunch at Sandpiper.

After grocery shopping, Norman from Kevali house picked up the group and we went back to the boat, dropped off water and headed over.

Everyone was anxious to try out their snorkel gear. We snorkeled around the cave in front of the house and saw fish and a turtle. It was almost sunset. We made a taco salad for a late dinner. Tomorrow we will rent a motor boat and there may be a fishing trip, depending on the wind. It is so great to have everyone here.
