Waves, Wings

Swimming in the ocean waves is a true favorite of this group. I think our western members have missed the ocean and just want to immerse themselves in it. It was still windy and choppy so we took the dinghies to the trail that leads across to the sound side. The good beach was a little hard to locate by water landmarks today as it was choppy and the inside the break was full of foam.

We found the spot and parked ourselves there. People took walks down the beach in each direction and we all swam in the surf. Then we got Marina core workout.

We ventured to the Peace and Plenty with high hopes for a conch salad but it was closed. The high morning winds made it too difficult to get staff across to the island.

We made our way back to Chat N Chill where the cruisers variety show was going on. Marina and Hanna befriended a cat. We watched a couple of acts, one a good musician. Hanna taught me how to start a weaving project.

We then moved on to the Snappy Turtle for the happy hour wings. They were great as usual. We came back to Josie for Kevali key lime pie, sunset and Chauncey. Kevin took the game even though David was the only one to get a Chauncey. Hanna ended the evening with a farewell Bob Dylan tune. The group moves off their boat tomorrow and heads to an apartment in Georgetown for the night before their flight.
