We had raised Fat Tuesday after we returned from dinner last night. We left George Town slightly before dawn and headed up to Conch Cut. There was not much traffic. A little shower came by as we exited, giving us a lovely rainbow.

Once outside, we raised our sails. We had a steady wind, 16-20, the waves were not too bad. We were making good time on a broad reach with a reefed main and our genoa.
We reached Galliot Cut before the tide change so decided to go to the next cut so we could enter at slack tide. The waves and wind were increasing and we saw some squalls forming. We reefed the genoa. We watched boats go into Galliot with ebb current against the wind and a squall coming. We were glad not to attempt that.

We got to the next cut, Dotham Cut which is known for strong current. By that time the tide was just starting to turn and go in. We went in without difficulty and then it was just a short ride around the corner to Black Point.
We picked up one of the free moorings that were installed last year. We went for a short walk on the beach. David tried to nap but Fat Tuesday was a little naughty and tried to go sailing. She did not get far. We stayed on the boat for the evening.
