We did some planning and chores in the morning and planned to take the shuttle to West Marine/harris Teeter at 11. It is a great daily service. They drop off at 1115 and pick you up at 1215 so you have to be ready for action.
The shuttle is fun because you get to meet other boaters. One was a crewmember for a boat named Ghost, a giant sailboat over 100 feet with 18 foot draft. They have about 5 full time crew and when the owners come with a nanny comes to watch the kids. They sailed from England in June, then went to New York, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and then to Newport, Rhode Island, where they did boatwork for several months. They will sail south and then back to Europe.

David went to West marine to get some line to bring our reefing lines into the cockpit. That way, I can control them as he raises and lowers the sail. We needed one more line, a little smaller. We also wanted a larger bucket.
I went to Harris Teeter to buy groceries. We are hosting bonita tonight and also have to plan for Thanksgiving dinner. Jeff and Deb are hosting but I want to make a pie and am in charge of potatoes.
It was a successful shopping trip. We followed up with laundry and dinner prep. We cubed the fish and made a combo of Becca’s and Beate’s garlic ginger sauce and put the fish on top of rice and vegetables with the sauce. It was delicious.
We played Chauncey and Deb won.
