We made a quick trip to town for water and trash and then returned to the boat for a move to Sand dollar beach. On our way over we noticed something floating in the water. We went over to find a makeshift buoy marking a submerged front end loader. It had fallen/rolled off the barge on the day before the storm. We are not sure how they will get it out. I am glad they marked it. Our reservation on # 18 is over and we will be going to a new mooring off Sand Dollar beach for a day or two while we get ready to make our next move.

Once settled, we planned to go to Chat N Chill for the conch horn making workshop at 2 pm. We left our mooring at check out time but another boat was on our new ball when we arrived. We tied up to an empty one and called them when they returned to their boat. They were off in about 30 minutes and we tied up and headed over to the workshop.
Bill lead the workshop and about 40 boaters were there with conch shells. They had a generator set up with power tools, angle grinders. We counted to the 4th row of crowns and made a cut in the top straight across. Then we chipped out the inside a bit to make a smooth hole. Next we patched the holes in the conch with bondo which set very fast. After a few tries, I was able to blow our conch horn! I still need practice before a video. Our shell needs some sanding and other fine touches but is functional! There was the cutest little girl there with a giant conch horn. And she could blow it well!

We joined Deb, Jeff, and friends Chris and Susan at Peace and Plenty to talk about travel plans. We may all meet in Black Point in a week or so and travel some together. We want to visit some places we have not been and return to some we have. Jeff and Deb are in Georgetown for another week. Chris and Susan want to go to Cat Island. We are interested in going to some less visited anchorages as we make our way north. We are interested in Conception Island but it is upwind for the next few days and too far to reach tacking in one day. We do not really want to motor there. We might head north to the Square Rock Cay area. There seems to be a nice anchorage with good snorkeling there and it is only 20 miles. We could then go to Galliot for a few days, and meet the group at Black point to explore some new areas in the park together.
We returned to the boat to watch sunset in our new home and to blow our conch horn. Many horns joined in at sunset tonight.
