We are planning to leave tomorrow for Black Point Settlement. This will be our first Bahamian town. It is about 26 miles south. We are also trying to plan for some visitors in February. Austin, Sara and Michael are planning to come for a few days to Georgetown. We spent part of the morning trying to coordinate this. We have a mooring ball reserved in the harbor at Stocking Island and they plan to rent a place there. We may have to rent a larger dinghy to get around there.
We packed our lunch and set out for more island exploration. We returned to Boo Boo Hill to walk the hilltops on either side. the first thing we encountered was that Banshee creek that we had hopped over yesterday was a river at high tide. We waded through.

We first went to the blowholes north of the hill. The sea was calm so water was not rushing up out of them but we were able to go down and look in them. Their sounds were musical.

We then walked south of Boo Boo past several secluded ocean beaches. The views were beautiful and a boat was sailing past to enter the harbor. It was a small boat and was heeled over pretty far. They soon took down their genoa.

We returned to Whale Beach for our picnic where our friends Chris and Clay from Persistence were trying out their new two person inflatable kayak. David filmed their voyage. They were very cautious kayakers but got the hang of it quickly.

After lunch, we checked out the snorkel spots. We opted for a small reef behind a rock at the back of the anchorage. We anchored our dinghy and hopped out. It was a shallow reef but full of fish and small coral heads, mostly brain coral. There were a few purple sea fans. As we continued, we saw some antennae swishing back and forth from under a ledge. A lobster was in there and we dove down to take a peek at him.

Then came the true test, climbing back into the dinghy from deep water. I was concentrating on the task and not aware that David was filming. Great success!
We sat on our favorite sand bar for awhile. We then visited the little boat that we had seen coming in. They did not have internet so we made arrangements to text them their boat photos. They would then climb the hill to receive them as there is some service on top of the hill.
Returned to the boat to catch up and clean up in anticipation of a departure tomorrow..
