It is still blowing from the northwest. We decided to try the long dinghy ride to town. It is somewhat sheltered but upwind on the way. On the way back, we should move well downwind.
We headed out toward the bridge. After the bridge, there were more waves around Ferguson Point. We made it but it took about an hour. We did take a longer route around to stay more sheltered.

We got water and bought a t shirt to donate as a bingo prize. Our dinghy motor was solar charging at the dock so we decided to have lunch at Sandpiper. After that, we walked to both grocery stores. On our way back from groceries, the ice cream shack was open. A bonus!
The ride back was easier. Our motor had charged some and going downwind with the waves helped. Again it was tricky getting around Ferguson Point but after that, it was smooth.
We stayed on the boat for sunset as we felt we had had enough dinghy time for the day. It is still windy for paddle boarding and chilly for swimming.

We learned it was Dawson’s birthday!
