Island exploration

Initially our plan was to explore the Moriah Cay area in the dinghy to see about taking Josie there. But then the wind shifted toward the South and picked up more than it was supposed to. There is a beautiful cove between Stocking and Elizabeth island with a nice sandbar that is exposed at low tide. We decided to go there instead . Jeff and Deb wanted to join us.

It was a bit of a choppy dinghy ride but we made it. We decided to try out our go pro camera as well. We had a nice beach picnic, then swam to the sandbar and then over to Elizabeth Island. Then we walked down the beach to the small inlet at the end.

We solar charged our motor while we were walking. We saw some turtles from shore, swimming in the grassy area. Jeff and Deb headed back and we walked back down the beach to try to snorkel and find a turtle. We snorkeled all around but it was a bit shallow. We did see lots of beautiful conch.

We stopped by schooner Tom Bombadil on he way back to return the hat Greg left on our boat. It was tough to land the dinghy so we will get a tour another day. Beautiful boat.
