Cold front

A cold front was due and the winds arrived around 2 am. We had wind and rain but no lightning. At one point I could not see the boats to our starboard.

During the day, the winds increased and the showers became less frequent. It was a great day for blogging and watching basketball. We are grateful that our new batteries and our starlink make this possible.

During one lull in the rain, David went out to check our anchor. It had not budged. During another lull, we tried to put up our fin delta but there was too much wind to get it adjusted. We need to start on a calm day. Josie danced a bit and our lines creaked but we held fine and the longer that went on, the less we worried.

All the boats in the harbour were fine. The island and the mangroves beyond protected us from waves and we all stayed on our boats, dinghies raised. The winds howled through sunday night but the rains stopped.
