It was boat chore day. There was more cleaning and a trip to the town to visit the grocery and the amazing hardware store. If we were successful getting this done, we would be able to go exploring tomorrow. We are very excited that Jeff and Deb are on the move and plan to arrive here tomorrow night. It will be great to catch up with them if even for a night.
We had done the fuel so after a little cleaning and organizing, we headed to the dinghy dock. It was low tide so we had to climb very far from the water. Fat Tuesday tried to be naughty and creep under the dock and had to be adjusted.

We walked first to the hardware store, Maxwell’s. David found the bolt and the lock washer he has been looking for. They are amazing.
We then went to the grocery, stopping at a few places on the way. One was an arts and crafts store. They had everything for your Junkanoo costume. Marsh Harbour was looking better with lots of new building and businesses. The streets looked better too.

The grocery, also Maxwell’s, is amazing. There is too much to choose from here and everything looking fresh. We bought our groceries which fit into three shopping bags which we carried back on the 3/4 mile trek back to the dinghy dock and lowered into the dinghy. There was a nice path /sidewalk which I named “The Queen’s Schlepping Path.”

Then to the boat, groceries up and out and then down the companionway and into the proper storage area. Provisioning complete.
In the afternoon, we walked to Mermaid Beach which is very close to the marina. There is a reef that you can swim to from the beach. We swam out and a turtle joined me right away. I followed him while David spoke with some boaters on the beach. He soon joined me on the reef. There was some live coral and some rocks. David found some lobster on the reef, one in one cave and two in another. It was great to see some. No spearing allowed so they were quite happy.

We returned to the marina for a dip in the small pool and went back to the restaurant for rib night.
