Boat cleaning, evening fish cleaning

We were due for a major boat cleaning and today seemed right. I went for a morning swim in the pool with some boat ladies before we got to work. David cleared the deck and then I scrubbed and he rinsed. We then cleaned the deck and then the cockpit. It was good to get a good rinse and the salt off. We still need a lot of work on surface rust.

After cleaning, we went to the pool again to cool off. On our way back, one of the fishing boats had come in. They were cleaning a mahi and the sharks were in the harbour. There were nurse sharks and bull sharks. The bulls were darker and more uniform width. The nurse sharks had a very round fat head and then tapered with a long thinner tail. I am not sure I could tell the difference for sure from the top even when they are together.

Bull shark, we think, next to a nurse shark

From the side, it is easier to see the nurse shark’s round mouth with whiskers and the bull shark’s more recessed jaw. I know I do not want to fall in the water here.
