It was pouring at high tide when we had to make our move to Moriah Harbour Cay Moorings in the Red Shanks area. Visibility was poor but we had a good track from our last visit there and David knew the way.

We joined a parade of boats entering the mooring field at high tide. On the way in, we saw many boats anchored in the Master’s Harbour area for the storm. They seemed well protected.
We picked up ball 24 in the first mooring field. It was calm in the anchorage. It was chilly but when it stopped raining for a bit, I went for a paddle board. I saw starfish and rays. It was easy with the calm to go all around the harbour. It was still high tide so the many little beaches were not exposed. It started to rain again as I returned but I was warm from the paddling. My paddleboard is going to be deflated again, for the storm.
After lunch, the rain had stopped and we went to the Moss Cay beach for a walk. We parked on the mangrove side and walked over. It was lovely and we met some nice cruisers from North Carolina.

We returned to the boat for a beautiful sunset and a lively conch horn blowing in the anchorage. It was still calm though greater winds had been predicted. We went to sleep, waiting for the blow to start.
