We had not been to West Marine since Vero Beach. David has some final items on his list. He is busy preparing to be ready for our passage when we return. I am more focused on Christmas. We decided to walk to West Marine with perhaps a stop at Target on the way back.

West Marine was about 1.3 miles down The Dixie Highway, of course. Google maps took us down a side street for a quieter walk except it was the day when the trash service picks up bulk items and this operation was on our quiet street. There was a crane that scraped up the boxes and garden waste following a large truck for dumping and smashing. It was loud and we did not like the way the crane was swinging around as they raced from house to house. We were glad when they turned off.
When we got to West Marine, there was no good place to cross so it added another quarter mile, up to the crosswalk. There was lot of craziness with the Miami driving scene:butting in, going 100 mph to make up 100 yards of open space, motor cycles that have to pop wheelies at every crossing, honking, long and short.

We finished our shopping and headed back finding another marine store, Cross and Cross, on the way back. I inquired about a good Mahi lure.
“They like pink,” the man said. We will find out.
The street west of the giant Target was lined with even larger storage units. They bore a strange resemblance to the container ships in the harbor.
Back to the boat for clean up and preparation to leave the boat to fly to family for holiday time tomorrow.
