New Arrivals Trickle In

Today we welcome a new group of adventurers. Hanna, Miles and Amy made the journey from Richmond with a very early start. Unfortunately our western travelers, Marina and Kevin got held up in Denver on their trek across the country. They made it to Miami today and will come here tomorrow.

It was Sunday and most of the restaurants were closed but we found lunch at the Peace and Plenty. The grocery was open until 3. We found a few things there. I bought some more of the herb butter that Michael found.

The VRBO boat host brought the crew from the dinghy dock to their boat. At first, there was some dispute about the 2 dinghy’s but Hanna and Matheui worked it out. We will have enough local transportation. The boat seems ok for them. Both Hanna and Miles got dinghy in-service.

It is still windy here but less than yesterday and we were able to get around in Fat Tuesday. We got a little wet on our trek back from George Town but less wet than on the water taxi yesterday. I think Charlottesville won the wind record today with high winds resulting in loss of power. What a winter!

We decided to hike across to the ocean beach in the late afternoon. We went to the boatel in hole 2 and then we all went in one of the inflatable dinghies to the trail. Miles did well managing the motor, the cut and the beach.

The ocean was lovely on the incoming tide with the sun behind us. We swam and then walked the beach looking at tide pools and treasure. Hanna found a beautiful shell. We also found sponge, sea fan, and some coral.

We hiked back, picked up Fat Tuesday and David and I went back to Josie. The others came out for the sunset. They were extremely tired but Hanna managed to get them back to their boat in the dark. David examined a new fishing lure before bed. It was researched by Michael and barely made it to Hanna in time but looks like a winner.
